If two fight for happiness,
Can it really be attained?
Is happiness war’s casualty?
When love’s battles wage, can love sustain?
In speaking upon a moment’s ears,
Will lurking dread ring true?
It’s hard to see through burning tears,
The line drawn tween me and you,
Strength both protects, and sets apart,
Stubborn lovers waging war,
A wall erects, stone by stone,
Till lovers visible, no more,
Divided, each is peaceful,
They find no cause to take a stand,
No grandiose proclamation,
No gesture, small, nor grand,
Each is badly beaten,
And no victor can be hailed,
No contestant cheers in celebration,
When they see how love has failed.
The Last Fight

Thank you.
It’s unfortunate that even though one is wise enough to see what is transpiring, it’s often not enough to change anything.
At least in understanding, there can be growth and healing.
Best wishes and thank you for reading.
